Booth A · The master

Every brand gets a master

In music, the master is the recording every copy gets pressed from. We make one for every brand: its voice, its customers, its products, its rules and its live numbers, mixed down into one master. Every ad, email and page gets pressed from it, then checked a second time before anyone hears it.

Small studio, big sound

The master does the remembering, so one operator ships like a full team: dozens of ad variations, full email flows and new pages in the same week.

Built for hard categories

Hemp, nootropics and functional products live under tight ad rules. Each client's rules are written into the master, and work that breaks them never ships.

It sounds like you

Copy is mixed from your real customers' words and your founder's voice, not a template. Your brand stays yours.

Twenty years in the room

Cheyne in the 1990s, in a leather jacket, laughing on the phoneCheyne, on the line. The '90s.

I started at a magazine, throwing the parties brands wanted to be seen at. Then came Red Bull, record labels, festival stages, a hotel group in Bali, years behind the decks, and a decade launching brands in categories most marketers won't touch.

The Strategy Lab is all of it with a modern growth stack attached. Same instinct for what's next, now wired to Shopify, Meta and Klaviyo, with a master for every brand that keeps it sounding like itself.

Questions people ask

Who do you work with?

Independent brands with a real point of view: DTC and Shopify brands, local shops, wellness and functional products, and brands in categories that are hard to advertise.

Who isn't a fit?

Brands looking for a large account team, or anyone who wants one channel run in isolation. We work best when ads, site and email are all on the table.

Can you advertise hemp, nootropics or supplements?

Yes. That's a specialty. Each client's platform and legal rules are written into their master, and every piece of work is checked against them before it ships.

How do engagements work?

It starts with a call. From there it's a monthly engagement or a defined project, depending on what the brand needs. Some partnerships include a share in the results.

Do you only work in Los Angeles?

The studio is in LA and a lot of the roster is local, but most of the work happens online, so brands anywhere in the US are welcome.

Do you use AI in the work?

Yes, every day. Ad creative, product images, email builds, reporting and compliance checks all run on AI tools like Claude, set up around each brand's own master. A person reviews everything before it ships.

Can you set up AI for my team?

Yes. We build AI agents and automations around how your team already works, then train your people to run them: content, customer email, reporting and meeting notes.

Do you take one-off projects?

Yes. Growth audits, Shopify builds and launches can run as projects with a clear end date.
